I AM. -Jesus | Wk 3

One Sentence Sermon: I am your every single thing you need in your whole entire life – Jesus

This week, Clyde Thomas opened with a reminder that true service often goes unnoticed. Sharing a story of a server who lost his job for being “too noticeable,” he pointed us to Jesus—the greatest servant of all. Jesus came humbly and passionately for us, showing that service is love (Matthew 6:3–4, Matthew 28:20).

Pastor Tom continued our series by focusing on one of Jesus’ bold declarations in John 10: “I am the gate.” Just as gates and doors are the only way in or out of a city or place, Jesus is the only way to the Father. He is both the entry point and the protection for His sheep. While the Pharisees resisted Him, Jesus declared that His sheep know His voice—those who belong to Him recognize and trust Him.

Through personal stories and Scripture, Pastor Tom reminded us that Jesus doesn’t just offer a way—He is the way, the truth, and the life. Everything we need in this entire life comes from Him. When we learn to recognize His voice and follow Him, we can live in confidence that He is the Great I AM, our every single thing.

Matthew 28:20
“…and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 6:3–4
3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

John 10:7
Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.”

John 10:30
I and the Father are one.
