He Knew | Andie Dixon

Before you were even born, Jesus knew you. Andie Dixon shared how she imagines God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit coming together to speak over each life individually. For her, she imagined God saying things like, “Save her in 1987,” and “Give her these gifts and passions—I have a plan for her.” But He didn’t just speak over her—He does this for everyone. Your life has been carefully and personally planned by a loving God who knew exactly when you’d be needed and what you’d be created to do.
Referencing Genesis 1:26-27, she unpacked the Hebrew word barah, which means both birth and miracle, showing that God didn’t just plan our physical creation, but also our rebirth through Jesus. We are created in the image of God—not physically, but spiritually—and we are His “shadow”: an imperfect copy, but an inseparable companion.
Even though we have free will, God lovingly draws us back to Him, again and again. Romans 8 reminds us that nothing—not height nor depth—can separate us from His love. You are a miracle, saved by grace, created with purpose. There may be things you’ll never do—like perform brain surgery—but there is something only you can do in your family, your workplace, and your community. Andie reminded us that spiritual Judaism teaches everyone carries a divine spark. You were created for such a time as this, and God knew you’d be needed—right now—to pray, to help, to love, to lead.
Genesis 1:26–27
Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Romans 8:38–39
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
